  • Every website requires two essential components to function properly online:

    1. Web Hosting – This is the space where your website’s files live.

    2. Domain Name – This is your website’s address (e.g., www.yourwebsite.co.nz) that people use to find you.

    Think of it like renting a storefront: your domain is the street address, and hosting is the physical space where your website exists. Both are required and come with ongoing costs.

    Domain Name: A custom domain (e.g., ending in .co.nz) generally costs between $22 – $82 per year, depending on the provider and any added features or protections.

    Squarespace Hosting: I generally recommend Squarespace for its ease of use, sleek design options, and built-in functionality — especially for clients who want a beautiful, manageable site without the tech overwhelm.

    Please note that the Personal plan does not support custom code (CSS, HTML, or JavaScript), which is a key part of the custom features I provide. For a Multi-Page or Bespoke Site, you'll need the Business plan or higher. For an E-Commerce Site, the Basic Commerce plan or above is required. You can view current Squarespace pricing here.

    Prefer a Different Platform? If you’d prefer to use a different hosting platform — such as WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify — that’s totally fine! Feel free to reach out, and I’ll be happy to talk through your options and recommend the best setup for your project needs and goals.

  • While I don’t work on websites built by other developers, I can absolutely create a brand-new website for you and seamlessly transfer any existing text and images. You'll be able to keep your current website address (domain), ensuring a smooth transition with no disruption to your online presence.

  • A 50% deposit is required to lock in your project and officially kick things off.

  • Absolutely! Having a custom email address that matches your domain enhances your brand's professionalism and credibility.​

    If you choose a Squarespace Business or Commerce plan, you're eligible for a free year of Google Workspace's Business Starter plan, which includes one custom email address. This offer is available to new Google Workspace customers and provides access to Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, and other collaborative tools. ​

    However, if you already have a Google Workspace account associated with your domain, this offer isn't applicable. In such cases, you can continue managing your email through Google directly. Alternatively, if you're looking to consolidate billing or manage your Google Workspace account through Squarespace, it's important to note that Squarespace doesn't support transferring existing Google Workspace accounts to their platform. ​

  • 1. Once we've discussed your vision for your website and brand, I’ll provide you with a project proposal and estimated quote for your review. Once you're happy with the proposal, click "Accept", pay the initial 50% deposit and we'll get started!

    2. Before the five-day clock starts, there are a few things you will need to provide. Please refer to the checklist below:
    - Your style/layout preferences and/or links to websites you like
    - Your existing or desired domain (check availability here)
    - Your existing logo (or ideas if you do not have one)
    - A paragraph or bullet points about your business and ethos
    - 1 - 3 client/customer testimonials (the more the better)
    - Details or bullet points of services you offer
    - Your own images, if any
    - Gallery or portfolio images with descriptions, if any
    - Your business contact information

    If you're not a confident writer, you’re welcome to provide bullet points of information about your business and I'll assist in crafting them into cohesive paragraphs.

    3. The five-day clock begins! I can now create a draft of your proposed website and logo (if applicable). This will generally be done within three days of receiving your content. The faster you send everything through, the quicker you'll be up and running!

    4. I will provide you with a password to access a functional preview of your website and logo to see exactly how it will look and feel. When you're happy with the way everything looks, I will send through your invoice.

    5. Once the final invoice is paid, it’s time to go live! I will publish your website and grant you administrative access. It is at this stage that we look at any print advertising you may need.

  • Your website package includes basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) at no additional cost. This typically covers essential elements such as meta titles, descriptions, and basic keyword integration — important first steps in helping your site get found on search engines.

    It’s worth noting that SEO can be a complex and often costly service, with different tiers depending on your goals and competition level.

    My focus is on delivering affordable, high-quality website solutions, but I also offer additional SEO services if you'd like to explore a more strategic approach. We can chat about your goals and target audience to determine whether a tailored SEO plan would benefit your business.

    Alternatively, I can refer you to trusted digital marketing professionals who specialize in advanced SEO and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) strategies, should you prefer to invest further once your website is live.

  • Yes! Please get in touch to discuss your ideas. I approach e-commerce/online store websites on a case-by-case basis.

  • Once your invoice payment has cleared, I’ll provide you with administrative access to your Squarespace CMS (Content Management System). From there, you’ll be able to log in and make content updates whenever you need — giving you full control and flexibility.

    Prefer not to manage updates yourself? No problem! Simply send me an email with the details of what you'd like updated. I’ll be happy to take care of it for you for a small one-off fee.
